Identify your body’s hidden imbalances
This insightful test helps to take the guesswork out of choosing the correct natural program and combination of supplements for you. By analysing your live blood under a microscope, we can uncover many hidden imbalances, including:
· Nutritional deficiencies
· Antioxidant levels · Mineral imbalances · Immune weakness · Adrenal stress · Hydration levels · Acidity · Digestive imbalances · Liver stress
|
· Kidney stress
· Oxidative stress · Circulatory congestion and poor tissue oxygenation · Cellular fatigue · Lymphatic congestion · Anaemia · Bowel toxicity and inflammation · Chemical and heavy metal toxicity · Yeast / Candida |
Why live blood?
With a live blood sample, we are looking at the blood as close as we can to being in it’s natural state. The sample is taken in a very precise way to ensure no damage to the cells (which can indicate other issues that may not be present). With a lab sample – anticoagulants can be added, dyes and the blood are shaken and damaged, usually stored for a long time – no longer alive. When live blood analysis is done you are present. Seeing your blood live can be a very powerful experience and it enables you to see for yourself what may be going on in your body.
No waiting, no chemicals – just straight onto the slide and viewed.
The blood comes into contact with every cell in the body. It carries vital nutrients and oxygen to the cells and carries waste away from the cells.
By looking at live blood under the microscope, behaving exactly like it would in the body, we can easily assess the overall state of the biological terrain.
If we understand why the blood is sick, we understand why other cells in the body are sick, and if we are able to improve the quality of the blood,we will be able to improve the quality of almost every cell in the body.
Live Blood Analysis may uncover the real reasons why you are:
- Feeling sick and tired
- Not losing weight
- Suffering from headaches
- Suffering from Allergies
What is the process
- You will be asked to complete a form outlining your past and present health, dietary and lifestyle choices before you come to the appointment.
- On arrival at the clinic room, you will have fasted for 5 hours (only fluids – no milk)
- You will have a little prick on your finger to take the blood sample (done with a lancet as you would a diabetes check).
- Then it’s time to relax and enjoy viewing of your blood on screen. Amanda’s high spec DarkField microscope films what is being observed under the microscope and relays it to the screen for you to see. You can bring some food to eat while you watch. Amanda will talk you through what is seen while taking photos with the camera in the microscope to ensure a log is kept on the visit to compare at the next visit.
- When you leave your appointment, the work continues as Amanda will write an in-depth report of what has been observed and recommendations on diet, supplements, herbal and homeopathic options. This can take up to a week after your appointment to be received.
- The visit will take up to 1 ½ hours. Allow plenty of time for the visit. It is recommended to come back in 3 months to check how the progress is going.

Your practitioner Amanda Macrae
Hi, I’m Amanda Macrae.
I have been working as a qualified natural health practitioner for over 25 years. But my interest in holistic health started as a little girl doing energy work. This was a natural thing I did on any animal I could find (favourite was horses) and my mum and dad used to get me to work on them. Some of my schoolteachers would even ask me to “do that weird thing” on kids who had hurt themselves. Being nicknamed “witch and weirdo” tends to tone most kids down, so it wasn’t until my 20’s that I decided to train as a homeopath and a bowen therapist.
My homeopathy has seen me mostly working in a pharmaceutical environment, manufacturing remedies for big companies and then for the past 18 years – my own product range. I worked in two homeopathic pharmacies also, where I learnt how to make all forms of remedies and learnt the art of quick prescribing on the spot. I am so grateful for those experiences. I have learnt that my love of all things “traditional” and “unexplainable” is basically my calling.
Over the years I have studied herbal medicine, Equine Massage therapy, reflexology and received a Diploma in Palmistry. But, although I love all things traditional and old fashioned, I’m also mad about science. I have trained as a finishing Chemist to enhance my cosmetic range I offer through my business Manutuke Herbs – and this enables me to design products for other companies. To add to this, last year I started learning Live and Dry Blood analysis and am very fortunate to be in possession of an amazing DarkField Microscope. I have done a course that was very medically based and am finishing a Live Blood Analysis naturopathic based approach course now. I feel that Live Blood Analysis enables me to validate what my other modalities can’t scientifically. The benefit is that my clients get to have an appointment that brings all of this knowledge together. If you are looking for a consultation with a broad-minded person, who embraces traditional and unexplainable things, enjoys a relaxed environment and isn’t going to make you feel judged or embarrassed about anything you need to work on, then I would love to help you.
Face to face appointments are available in Dunedin and every 2nd month in Tauranga.
